Admission Requirements: A candidate with a first degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (such as Agricultural and Bio-resource/biosystem/Environmental/Irrigation Engineering, Mechanical, Civil, Water Resources, Metallurgical and Material Engineering) from a recognized university with minimum of a second class lower division may be admitted provided the university matriculation requirement (UME) is satisfied. However, a candidate whose first degree is not in Agricultural and Bio-resource/bio-system/Environmental/Irrigation Engineering may be asked to take some undergraduate courses to meet up with any deficiency observed from his transcript. Graduation Requirements (a) Course work: (i) For postgraduate course work, the minimum pass score shall be 50%; continuous assessment shall constitute 30% of the examination for each course. (ii) Any student who fails in any course shall carryover such a course; (iii) Any student whose CGPA falls below 2.50 at the end of any years shall be required to withdraw from the programme. (b) Thesis Before a student is allowed to defend his thesis, he must have passed all courses offered with a minimum score of 50% (Grade C), satisfactorily present a proposal seminar, conduct research, and present a final seminars which is an output of his research findings. The thesis shall be examined in accordance with the postgraduate school requirement. Upon successful defense of the thesis, the student will be recommended to the postgraduate school for graduation. !DOCTYPE> |
